5 Things Friday: #2

TGIF! Time for another round of 5 things Friday. Here's what I'm loving this week:

1) Lunchtime walks. I'm lucky enough to have the Atlanta Beltline just outside my office. Now that the warm weather is here, I've been using my lunch hour to get outside and take a walk. It's really great to get some fresh air and take a mental time out before finishing the second half of the workday. Plus, it gets the blood pumping and burns a few calories.

2) Breakfast cookies. The only thing I love more than breakfast, is having breakfast already waiting for me when I wake up! A few nights a week, I make a breakfast cookie the night before so all I have to do is heat it for 45-60 seconds in the morning. This week, I strayed from my usual recipe and experimented with adding chocolate PB2. YUM!

1 mashed banana
1/2 cup oats
1 tbs vanilla brown rice protein powder
2 tbs chocolate PB2
1/2 tbs honey
1 tbs ground flax
~1/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

3) My ACE personal trainer study materials. Ok, so I haven't actually started studying yet, but I'm super pumped just to have these materials in the house! I can't tell you how long I've been talking about wanting to get certified. It seems a little crazy to add something like this to my plate when I'm already a little time-starved... But it's important to make time to pursue your interests, right? Right.

4) Peanut butter, banana and honey wraps. This was my go-to breakfast when I went back to work after having baby #2. Quick and easy, delicious, and filling. I haven't been eating that much the past few months, but I incorporated this back into the lunch rotation this week and now I'm kind of obsessed again. I could eat peanut butter and banana at every meal. No joke!

5) This post from Jill Conyers titled Worry Less Live More. I worry. Constantly. About everything. And this week in particular, I needed this post. Thank you, Jill!

While you're over on Jill's blog, check out some of the great blogs in the Fitness Friday link up!

What are you loving on this first Friday in June?
