Ch-ch-ch-changes

What's up? Another case of the blahs here... Apparently Tuesday just isn't my day. But on the upside, Daddy came home from his 5+ day work trip yesterday. Woohoo! First thing he did was come home and clean the house. How lucky am I?! Plus, he put both kids to bed so I could get out and go for run. It was a slow run, but much needed for my mental health!


And just because I'm a glutton for punishment, I came back from my run and launched right into T25 Total Body Circuit. Needless to say, I was subsequently spent.

As someone who has been self conscious since at least the age of 13, I never in my life thought I would put up a picture like this, but I am absolutely amazed at the changes I've seen in just 6-8 weeks. I've mentioned before that I hurt my back early in the year, shortly after my last half marathon, and was unable to run for a while. And although I stayed active, I wasn't pushing myself. Funny thing though - my appetite didn't slow down. You know where I'm going with this... A few extra pounds and much less muscle tone.

In mid-April, I decided to start the 21 Day Fix. I did 1 and 2/3 rounds before starting T25. And here are the results so far...
On the left: day 1 of the 21 Day Fix - 4/14
On the right: 2 weeks into T25 - 5/31
I'm sure the changes are more noticeable to me than they are to others, but I can see it and I'm proud of the determination that led to those changes. The most important change of all is that it has helped me stop measuring my progress and success by the scale. There's only about a 1 lb difference between these 2 pictures, but a full 4.5 inches difference.
