Well, I totally missed 5 Things Friday this week. Ooops. But honestly, I was so busy looking forward to vacation that I didn't have time to think about anything else.

I managed to get up and out the door at 6 am again yesterday (Saturday) to get my long run in before swim class. I didn't feel well on Thursday and Friday, and I missed my planned run on Thursday because of it. I wasn't sure I'd be able to tackle 10 miles on Saturday, but I got it done. Although I don't think I realized that I still wasn't 100% until I was about 8 miles in and started to feel a little dizzy.

Certainly not my best, but a solid effort - especially on the heels of a quick virus. I was completely wiped out afterward though. I went to bed at 9, and that was after having fallen asleep on the couch already. I woke up this morning just before 6 (gotta love toddlers!) and I felt ready for a nap by 7!

We spent the entire morning today getting packing the car and getting ready head off to Savannah. I did squeeze in 40 minutes of Jackie Warner before I left though. And I made sure to save room in the car for my hand weights so I can "make fit happen" while I'm away.

We already stumbled upon a very vegetarian/vegan friendly BBQ and Tex Mex place tonight where we ended up eating dinner. Taco salad with avocado and tofu. YUM!

I'm currently sitting on the rooftop deck plotting my running course for the morning. Life does not suck.

I'll check back in a couple times this week with pictures from vacay.

  1. Looks like you're staying in a GORGEOUS place! Enjoy your runs in a different place there will be lots to see compared to your usual routes!
